This event is for Plymouth University staff only.
Collaborative writing as method of inquiry and pedagogic practice involves participants in using writing practices as a means of inquiring into self and selves in the relational space of a higher education institution.
The inquiries that are promoted by such practices are normally focused upon a particular topic or disciplinary area and as such facilitate and are constitutive of teaching and learning practices.
This workshop is designed for higher education practitioners from a range of institutional disciplines and levels who are engaged in pedagogical and research-based activities and who are curious about the ways in which collaborative writing practices can be used to promote teaching, learning and research.
The workshop will provide opportunities to engage in a range of collaborative writing activities, to discuss the possibilities that such practices might have in relation to specific fields of inquiry and pedagogy, and to participate in a critical engagement of collaborative writing as professional practice. Therefore in the workshop you will have opportunities to engage in writing, to read and share your writing, to discuss your writing with colleagues, and engage in a critical analysis of the topic of the workshop.
There will be a buffet lunch from 12:00.
