"My Love Affair with the Brain"

Hosted by 500 Women Scientists Plymouth Pod and Women in STEM in Plymouth (WISP), My Love Affair with the Brain is an hour-long film made by six-time Emmy nominated Luna Productions about the life and work of Dr Marian Diamond. 

Dr Diamond is considered one of the founders of modern neuroscience and conducted analysis on the brain of Albert Einstein. She revealed that our brains can change with experience over the course of our lifetimes. The film has won eight Film Festival Awards including 'Best Documentary' and 'Best Film' and is narrated by Mayim Bialik, star of Big Bang Theory and Blossom

Critically acclaimed, the documentary brings the viewer right into the heart of science and into a deeper understanding of your own brain. The film is an intimate and inspirational portrait of one of the founders of modern neuroscience.

The screening is suitable for all above ten years of age.

Doors open at 18:00 for 18:15 start. Drinks and nibbles will be provided after the screening.
