Save event

Create and design your very own moth and set it free to fly around you inside the immersive dome at Market Hall.

Open to everyone, use one of the colouring sheets to design a beautiful moth that will join others to create a breath-taking immersive experience that celebrates the vital role moths play in our eco-system.

Colouring sheets and pencils are provided - book a ticket, turn up and enjoy!

This activity is a collaboration between Art and Energy and Real Ideas, extending the brilliant Moths to a Flame project which is at COP26 in Glasgow.

This artwork is one in a series of immersive experiences and events inspired by the work of Green Minds in Plymouth.

We hope the works will stimulate conversation which will lead to the development of newly commissioned experiences, co-funded by Green Minds and which will be presented at the immersive dome at the Market Hall in Devonport.

About Green Minds

Green Minds is an Urban Innovative Actions (UIC) funded project which aims to better connect people to green and blue spaces within and around the city of Plymouth.

This innovative project is led by Plymouth City Council’s Strategic Planning and Infrastructure Department in collaboration with a range of local stakeholders including the University of Plymouth, Real Ideas Organisation, Plymouth College of Art, Devon Wildlife Trust, The Data Place and the National Trust. The project aims to improve the quality and condition of green and blue infrastructure. It also aims to positively enhance people’s interaction and involvement in these spaces, recognising that spending time in green and blue spaces has positive health and wellbeing benefits.
