Join our technical specialists online for an hour of live electron microscopy guided by the audience.
Each month, we’ll be bringing the electron microscopy lab to you whether you’re in your living room, your classroom, or at your desk. We’ll be exploring a range of different samples and letting the audience decide what we focus on. During the session, you’ll be able to ask questions and see just what goes on in the laboratory.
This free interactive event will bring you up close and personal with our electron microscopes, showing you how they work, what they do, and why they’re useful. With a new sample each month, we’ll show you what different things look like up close and what we can learn from them.
Microscopy Live will be held via Zoom and recorded so you can enjoy it in your own time, so make sure you register using the form on our website to get access and to stay up to date!
Our first Microscopy Live event on Friday 29 October 2021 kicked off this series, with the topic being Geology. Ever wondered what the rocks below our feet are made of? Or how geologists go from a piece of rock to a full understanding of its chemical makeup and history? Then this session was for you!
