On The Move is a major presentation of Italian artist Anzeri’s practice from the last decade, alongside newly commissioned works. It is the outcome of a three-year dialogue with the artist, whose work responds to, and resonates with The Box’s diverse collections and narratives.
This exhibition stems from The Box’s continuous investigations into notions of ‘making’, and the use of various media, techniques and materials by contemporary artists to reflect our society and shared histories. Anzeri works in a variety of media including sculpture, photography, drawing and traditional craft techniques. His practice encompasses fashion, the human body, science, and geopolitics.
On The Move is delivered by The Box and The Arts Institute, University of Plymouth partnership, and is shown across several locations at The Box and The Levinsky Gallery at the University.
