The ability to change and adapt can be crucial to the success of any organisation, large or small; business, charity or public body. But securing support from colleagues, and overcoming bureaucratic obstacles can be a major challenge for those managers who recognise when change is needed.
This FREE half-day taster course will help managers and leaders to successfully initiate, lead and manage change within their organisation. It will support them to identify when change is necessary and to overcome key barriers. Key topics which will be covered include:
- defining change and change management
- identifying where change is needed
- securing buy in from key stakeholders
- overcoming resistance
- managing others through change
The course will be particularly useful to managers and aspiring managers from business and organisations operating in an environment of constant change, as well as those from smaller business needing to introduce changes resulting from new growth opportunities. It will also provide a useful introduction to further learning in the area of leadership and management.
The course is being delivered by the University of Plymouth with funding from the European Social Fund as part of the Hidden Talent in Devon project.
