New music, new audiences, new celebrities.

Many of Europe’s premier musicians were drawn to 18th Century England. London, Bath, Salisbury and even Plymouth staged and hosted events featuring the great composers and performers of the day. 

The talk will include songs by James Hook, Thomas Arne and Handel, as well as being be an exploration of this music and previews the Ten Tors orchestra programme of Saturday 18 April.
