The last of four contemporary Art and Mental Health Talks, organised by the ARC research group with Plymouth Community Healthcare.
In this talk Dr Tom Baugh will explore the idea that an equivalent experience of the anxiety disorder obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) can be represented using fine art practice. He will refer to his recent doctoral research to explain his equivalence of OCD, and in doing so will reveal how artistic methods, such as filmic projection can further inform the public about the disorder and its characteristics.
Tom has just completed his PhD in Fine Art at Plymouth University. He is a Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Fine Art and MA Contemporary Art Practice programmes. Website: thomasbaugh.org
