A lecture by Henrik Clausen, Director of the Fagerhult Lighting Academy, Copenhagen.

Henrik Clausen returns to the University to present a further lecture on how lighting affects many aspects of our lives from the psychology of lighting to our emotional wellbeing.

This includes such items as how lighting aspects in such films as Lord of The Rings is now being used in office lighting design and how we can improve our sleep patterns. Also, significant reductions are being made in energy use in lighting schemes. However, it’s not simply a case of making the switch; visual comfort, light quality and how people feel all have to be considered.

Henrik will explore how we can have the best of both worlds - energy efficiency within a space which helps people feel good and perform better.

This lecture will  be of interest to University students on all construction related courses and anyone who is interested in the built environment.
