The University of Plymouth LGBT+ Staff Network would like to welcome you to join us in marking National Coming Out Day 2023 with a free showing of the film Moonlight (2016).
This American coming-of-age drama was written and directed by Barry Jenkins and based on Tarell Alvin McCraney’s unpublished semi-autobiographical play In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue. The film depicts the three stages of the life of the main character (childhood, adolescence, and early adult life) and explores the difficulties he faces with his sexuality and identity, including the physical and emotional abuse he endures growing up.
This is a free event open to all staff and students, but registration is necessary.
