LGBT+ History Month is an annual celebration that provides education and insight into the issues faced by the LGBT+ community and works to combat prejudice against them, it takes place each February in the UK.
As we still cannot host all of our usual in-person events due to the pandemic, the University is hosting a virtual celebration of our LGBT+ history on a dedicated LGBT+ History Month page and warmly invites staff, students and the local community to join us at our future events listed below.
Students and staff are also invited to take part in Charles Seale-Hayne Library's LGBT+ History Month competition to win a book by an LGBT+ author, and staff can sign up to training courses to better support their LGBT+ students and colleagues from LGBT+ Allyship through to Trans Awareness Training.
