Setting off on 4th August, Stuart Ryall will cycle 70 miles a day from Land’s End to John O’Groats raising vital funds for the world-leading brain tumour research undertaken at Plymouth University.

In memory of loved colleague, John McMahon who lost his life to a brain tumour, Stuart hopes to raise over £5,000 for this woefully underfunded area of research and says that this 14 day journey is something to tick off his bucket list.

You can support Stuart through his Just Giving page above and help support a PhD student in Professor Oliver Hanemann’s brain tumour research team.

The world-leading research into low-grade brain tumours in Professor Hanemann’s labs enabled us to successfully partner with the charity Brain Tumour Research to become a Centre of Excellence in 2014.

It is through the amazing support from those like Stuart that this critical research into discovering new potential treatments and cures for this devastating disease can continue.
