When the authorities of Karlskoga in Sweden started to clear snow from pavements and sidestreets before main roads they made things better for women, and with an unexpected effect: they saved money on hospital bills for slips and falls.

This is just the first of many examples in 'Invisible Women' showing how standard policies miss women’s needs, with costs to everyone. The book exposes a gap in our knowledge that pervades all aspects of life and creates an invisible bias with a profound effect on women's lives.

Winner of business and science book of the year awards 2019.
