This free workshop will introduce the concept of social enterprise.
Within the workshop the differences between social enterprises, mainstream businesses and charities will be highlighted.
- Learn about social enterprises across our region and beyond.
- Discuss the challenges that social enterprises face despite research that suggests they are more resilient than their ‘standard’ private sector counterparts.
- Develop your understanding of social enterprise.
- Understand the benefits and drawbacks of being a social enterprise, charity or mainstream business.
This workshop is open to Faculty of Business students and if spaces are still available, students from all faculties.
About the BETA Enterprise Programme
The BETA Enterprise Programme improves students’ entrepreneurial abilities by providing a comprehensive programme of support for their business ideas. The programme provides free pre start-up and start-up support for students at the University via the Futures Entrepreneurship Centre.
