The Inspiring Volunteer Awards is a partnership between Improving Lives Plymouth, Plymouth University and the Plymouth Herald and will be in its 9th year in 2017.
The awards evening is an opportunity for Improving Lives Plymouth to promote the value of volunteering to individuals and the community.
Each year the awards are held during Volunteers Week, a national initiative promoted by Volunteering England/NCVO and an important week in the calendar for the voluntary sector.
One of the judges this year was UPSU Vice President Activities, Jess Vagg who has been invited to present the Panels Choice award this evening.
It's an important occasion for the University too as an opportunity to shine a light on the extraordinary level of volunteering that our students undertake in the local community. Volunteering that adds immense value to the city and the people of Plymouth, and in return helps our students to develop new skills and experiences that add value to their employability.
Attendance at this celebration event is by invitation only. Contact the Improving Lives Plymouth office on 01752 241070 for further information.
