Cornwall Children's University is delighted to offer a limited number of FREE ticket to their exciting ‘Inspire Learning' event at Penryn. 

This fantastic event will give both children and adults a chance to have a go at a wide range of hands-on activities run by the local universities, colleges and learning providers - an ideal opportunity to share their knowledge, passion and expertise allowing you to explore the world of learning opportunities in a fun and exciting way and to get you thinking about learning in a different way.

The session will include:

  • Close encounters with live invertebrates with University of Exeter Life Sciences
  • Using microscopes to identify microscopic creatures with Truro and Penwith College
  • Seeing what it is like to be a marine biologist with Cornwall College
  • Building a structure to withstand an earthquake with the University of Exeter 
  • Geography: designing and building a structure in a time limit with BF Adventure
  • Finding out what goes on in an hospital operating theatre with NHS Treliske Operating Department
  • Learning skills that could save a life with St John Ambulance
  • Getting creative and designing your own postcard with Plymouth University
  • Having a go at circus skills with Circo Kernow
  • Learning to write computer code to create your own computer game with Software Cornwall and CodeClubUK
  • Virtual dissection of a frog with University of Exeter Life Sciences
  • Discovering your creative flair with Falmouth University.
This event is part of the CUC Raising Aspirations Programme, funded by ESF Convergence. Participants will need to complete a form at registration to take part.
