Calling all dental undergraduates at Bristol, Cardiff and Plymouth! This Dental Showcase triple series of online webinars will shine a spotlight on various research themes in dentistry provided by innovative researchers from your schools.
You will be able to connect with three excellent colleagues who are helping develop current dental themes through their exciting contributions and get an idea of their route into and progress in their chosen research areas. This event is free and open to all.
This online event takes place over three evenings from 17:00–18:30, 28th April Bristol Guest Keynote Speaker, 5th May Cardiff Guest Keynote Speaker, 12th May Plymouth Guest Speaker.
- 17:00-17:10 | Welcome and introduction
- 17:10-18:00 | Student oral presentations (x5 @ 10 minutes each)
- 18:00-18:25 | Guest speaker presentation including Q&A
- 18:25-18:30 | Closing remarks
If you are interested in joining these events or are an undergraduate student and would like to showcase your dental research work via an oral or poster presentation, then please submit an abstract by Tuesday 20 April 2021 via the link above.
Abstracts for students should be no more than 300 words long. Abstracts will be reviewed by colleagues from each of the three dental schools and will be considered on the basis of their quality, relevance and interest. Please consider when writing that the audience will be of mixed experience and expertise when communicating your ideas. Proof read your abstract prior to submission as errors cannot be corrected once submitted. Thank you.
Oral presentations will be strictly timed for eight minutes speaking and two minutes Q&A.
Poster presentations should be submitted in a pdf or PowerPoint format in portrait layout to be available in advance and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org
There will be prizes available for the best poster and best oral presentation of a £75 Amazon voucher each, to be presented on Wednesday 12 May.
