Induction Workshop
Save event

This event is for Plymouth University staff only.

Facilitated by Priska Schoenborn.

According to Cook et al. (2005) induction is a set of processes that introduces students to their Higher Education (HE) institution, campus, faculty, and school, their programme of study, tutors and other staff including their personal tutor, as well as to their peers.

Furthermore, induction processes should form a bridge between students’ prior educational experiences and lives to those necessary in HE.

During this workshop we will look at guidelines developed by the Student Transition and Retention Project at the University of Ulster, share and discuss examples of good practice, and consider opportunities in your disciplines and context.
