iSPER ProSerV Group Seminar with Professor Susana Gamboa, National University of La Plata (UNLP), Argentina.

This talk will introduce current research undertaken at the Faculty of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences at the National University of La Plata (UNLP). 

The presentation will focus on their expertise areas and their involvement in the EU Horizon 2020 RISE project, RUCAPS (Enhancing and implementing knowledge based ICT solutions within high Risk and Uncertain Conditions for Agriculture Production Systems, €1.3M, 2016-10), in particular to provide good agricultural practices for decision-making process in agricultural value chains. 

Organised by the iSPER Product and Service Value Chain Innovation through Advanced Technologies (ProSerV) group.

Speaker biography 

Susana Gamboa is Professor of Horticulture and Floriculture in the Faculty of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences at the National University of La Plata (UNLP). She is currently a visiting scholar at Plymouth Business School on secondment for EU Horizon 2020 RISE project, RUCAPS. She conducts academic, research, and extension activities in the area. She is responsible for training human resources in horticulture and floriculture subjects. She is leading and partaking in research projects on sustainable horticultural production in the horticultural region of the green belt of La Plata. Susana is the representative from the UNLP at the regional board on Good Agricultural Practices in La Plata, and a consultant on horticultural and floriculture crop protection for Buenos Aires province, Argentina.
