In partnership with Next Steps South West, the University of Plymouth is hosting a Health Showcase to mark 70 years of the NHS in England and to showcase the important role that Higher Education plays within the health sector.
School and college students have an opportunity to explore higher education and careers within the health and social care sectors through their engagement with hands-on, interactive activities.
Students will have the opportunity to explore the fields of Medicine, Dentistry, Biomedical Science, Nursing, Midwifery, Psychology, Social Work and Allied Health Professions (Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Paramedic Practitioner, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, and Sport Therapy and Rehabilitation). Exhibitors will use interactive activities to inspire students and spark conversations about their profession.
Activities will be led by academic staff, current undergraduate students, healthcare researchers and health and social care professionals, providing students with a unique opportunity to find out more about life, careers and research within the health and social care sectors.
We will be welcoming students who are aspiring health professionals from years 10-13, as well as those returning to study. Please note, this event will be for pre-booked school/college groups who are accompanied by their teachers.
Booking for the schools and colleges sessions should be made via our online booking form. For those not wishing to book online, please email for a copy of the booking form: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note: the content of these sessions will be the same but the start times have been staggered to allow more students to participate. Sessions are only open to those who have pre-booked.
If you are not a school student, college student or teacher, please visit our Health Showcase Public Session page.
