Habitat Surveying Training Day - Grasslands
  • Poole Farm, Blunts Lane, Plymouth PL6 8NF

Save event

This is a free Citizen Science training day to enable volunteers to learn the skills to help us monitor habitats in the new Derriford Community Park.

The event is for all abilities to come and learn the skills to be able to survey grasslands. The surveys have been designed to be accessible for all so no previous experience is necessary.

The training will be led by Alison Smith from Plymouth University who has successfully trained many people in Citizen Science surveys in her work with OPAL and Plymouth Woodland Project.

A certificate of attendance will be available for those who attend. We ask that volunteers for this course come back to help us with at least two further woodland surveys this year.

Contact DerrifordCP@plymouth.gov.uk for further information.

The event is organised by Plymouth City Council. Poole Farm is the gateway to Derriford Community Park, Plymouth and is a Local Nature Partnership Hub valuing food, wildlife, learning and volunteering.
