This event is open to Plymouth University staff only.

Despite well-rehearsed challenges and student ambivalence, group work can offer a significant learning experience if designed and facilitated well.

This workshop will give you an opportunity to explore the rationale behind group work and will help you design, facilitate and/or support more productive group work with your students, in a way that enhances their learning and offers them a valuable opportunity to develop employability skills and attributes.

During the workshop we will spend time considering the dynamics, issues, and facilitation of group work and reflect on the four key dimensions of successful group work – establishing a rationale for group work, designing meaningful assignments, producing effective assessment and feedback processes, and creating effective groups from the outset.
