From March 2021, the GOALD (Generating Older Active Lives Digitally) project has examined how to design and deliver digital resources to provide and engage older people in structured activity programmes and improve health and wellbeing.

The University’s Centre for Health Technology will partner with five charity and community groups in the South West (iSight Cornwall, Hearing Loss Cornwall, Cornwall Rural Community Charity, Devon and Cornwall South Asian Society, and Nudge), working with older people and younger participants living in the community, as well as residents from eight care homes in Cornwall. Over the course of the project, the multidisciplinary research team will work with the different groups to explore use and design of digital resources and assistive technologies.

Several talks have been organised via zoom as examples of the kinds of events GOALD will run and what is on offer for project partners and colleagues.  All of the events are by invitation only but if you're interested, then please email Rose Wilmot for further information.
