Every November, the University of Plymouth and its partners host events to contribute to what’s now known as Global Entrepreneurship Week.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest campaign to promote entrepreneurship. Each year, it plays a critical role in encouraging the next generation of entrepreneurs to consider starting up their own business, inspiring people to explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.

Social Enterprise City Festival (18-22 November 2019)

Organised by the Plymouth Social Enterprise Network, the Social Enterprise City Festival will focus on climate awareness & sustainability and offers a great opportunity to engage with the community at the heart of the UK’s Social Enterprise City.

Global Entrepreneurship Week High Impact Host Award Holder

The University won a high impact award in 2015 in recognition of its contribution to Global Entrepreneurship Week, since its inception

Global Entrepreneurship Week takes place throughout the country, celebrating and cultivating our national entrepreneurship ecosystem. GEW helps people from every walk of life connect to the support they need at every stage of their entrepreneurial journey.

In previous years, hundreds of partner organisations in the UK hosted events that reached more than 240,000 entrepreneurial people across the country.
