Plymouth Global Challenge is a fantastic opportunity to develop your leadership skills as a global citizen.
It is run by the Centre for Sustainable Futures and is made up of a week long programme. Mornings will be based on campus with a range of fun and interactive activities and workshops, and afternoons will be spent out and about on the campus and in the local community engaging with initiatives that are about making a real difference.
Plymouth Global Challenge focuses on your personal development in the following areas:
- Awareness: of how you can play a vital role in bringing about positive change in our increasingly interconnected world.
- Knowledge: of global issues and cross-cultural understanding.
- Skills: for exploring and addressing areas of global challenge and creatively taking forward your own personal development.
- Contribution: to community projects that seek to be sustainable and contribute to wellbeing.
Any student of Plymouth University, undergraduate or postgraduate may participate. The programme is free but spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
Bring along an open mind, a spirit of discovery, a desire to learn and willingness to contribute.
