This book is the result of eight years of study by Christian philosopher, sociologist and theologian Elaine Storkey.

Through a mosaic of facts, figures and testimonies she builds up a powerful image of a problem that pervades all parts of society across the world. From female infanticide and child brides to domestic abuse, prostitution, rape and honour killings, violence against women occurs at all stages of life, and in all cultures and societies.

How and why has this violence become so prevalent, and what can we do to change it?

Join us to discuss this powerful and important book.

The event is free to attend - no booking required. If you don't have time to read the book, a summary will be available.
