Join us during Fairtrade Fortnight to discuss Doing Good Better - Effective Altruism and a Radical New Way to Make a Difference by William MacAskill.

  • When you give to charity, is your decision based on emotion or a rational assessment of the good your money can do?
  • When you chose your career, did you consider how your work could best benefit others – including by earning lots of money and giving it away?

William MacAskilll challenges us to give our money and our time in the way that brings most good: effective altruism. In this book he describes how the idea can work in practice – including a look at Fairtrade, which makes this a topical title for Fairtrade Fortnight.

Join us for stimulating discussion of a thought-provoking book.

The event is free to attend - no booking required. If you don't have time to read the book, a summary will be available.
