Presentation by Dr Marta Hawkins

What’s out there today for a new entrepreneur? Challenges and opportunities of the current world of business

Political conflicts and diminishing resources are one of the biggest challenges faced by entrepreneurs today. On the other hand, instantaneous global communication and the access to tremendous human capital and advanced technology have increased entrepreneurial opportunities. Navigating between the opposite factors needs confidence, while expanding on achievements available and driving them forward.

In this breakfast talk Marta will ponder the questions which derive from the contemporary business context underpinned by tensions:

  • How to achieve the best economic results for my enterprise and secure environmental sustainability?
  • How to produce more and waste less?
  • How to expand my brand globally and protect local values?

Finally we will discuss together the need for creative and sustainable thinking in finding the answers to these questions.
