Theatre Royal Plymouth’s flagship community event is back and this year the Green Minds team are delighted to be joining in the fun. You can find us with the Argyle Community Trust talking about green social prescribing and have a go at some nature themed activities.

The Funky Llama Festival takes place over the October half term and is the greatest show in town for two big days! Join Theatre Royal Plymouth in Central Park for some Big Top magic and funky Halloween fun. With wild costumers, wacky workshops and magical moments for everyone to enjoy, this is the festival fix you’ve needed after lockdown.

Expect live music, DJs, craft stalls, a fully licensed bar, circus acts, comedy and magic from local and national performers. The festival welcomes families and friends, and is open to all ages and all abilities. The party continues as the sun goes down with cabaret acts, live music and a silent disco.

Visit the Theatre Royal Plymouth event page for full details and ticket information.

About Green Minds

Green Minds is an Urban Innovative Actions (UIC) funded project which aims to better connect people to green and blue spaces within and around the city of Plymouth.

This innovative project is led by Plymouth City Council’s Strategic Planning and Infrastructure Department in collaboration with a range of local stakeholders including the University of Plymouth, Real Ideas Organisation, Plymouth College of Art, Devon Wildlife Trust, The Data Place and the National Trust. The project aims to improve the quality and condition of green and blue infrastructure. It also aims to positively enhance people’s interaction and involvement in these spaces, recognising that spending time in green and blue spaces has positive health and wellbeing benefits.
