Calling all students! Do you have a business idea or are you considering self-employment?

Chat to one of our business mentors about your ideas.

Our free, 45 minute long business mentoring sessions are available on a fortnightly basis on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons between 1pm and 5pm in Mast House Café. Booking is essential.

Based on your ideas, the business mentor will offer you advice, as well as support and guide you in the development of your business idea or plan. This mentor may be a University expert, an entrepreneur in residence or a member of the Plymouth business community.

If you are developing a business idea, fortnightly meetings between you and your mentor are highly recommended, where you will agree outcomes, develop action plans and agree to take these points forward.

Business mentoring sessions are up to you to book. You are allowed to book as many free business mentoring sessions as you need, up until you fail to attend more than one booked mentoring session without communicating your absence beforehand.

Business mentoring is extremely valuable when developing ideas and it is highly encouraged that you make the most of the free business mentoring available to you through the BETA Enterprise Programme before you graduate. High quality business mentors can be hard to find and are rarely free after graduation.

Business mentoring appointments are held at the following times on 4, 5, 18 and 19 May: 13:00-13:45, 13:50-14:35, 14:40-15:25, 15:30-16:15 and 16:15-17:00. Please email with your preferred mentoring date(s) and any time preferences you may have.

These free business mentoring sessions are available to all Plymouth University students as part of the BETA Enterprise Programme run by Futures Entrepreneurship Centre.
