Could you be doing more to get your marketing on track? Do you need to find out more about what traditional or digital approaches to marketing are most effective?

This course will provide an introduction to the key elements of both traditional and digital marketing. This will include avoiding common marketing mistakes, boosting your web presence and online sales, and developing an effective marketing action plan.

Topics will include:

  • defining marketing
  • Theaker’s Rule of 3 – questions to get you focused
  • top 3 Marketing Mistakes – and how to avoid them!
  • reviewing marketing methods
  • using digital methods, including: social media; websites; emails
  • making an action plan.

The session will include a free networking lunch as well as tea and coffee on arrival and during the mid-morning break.

Due to the nature of the funding delegates are required to bring ID as proof of age and right to work in the UK - a passport is the most suitable proof.

This course is being delivered by tutors from the University of Plymouth, with private sector business experience, in partnership with the Federation of Small Businesses. The training forms part of the Hidden Talent in Somerset project which is funded by the European Social Fund and also provides an introduction to further training and higher level skills opportunities.
