Plymouth University has been an accredited Fairtrade university since 2009, and for Fairtrade Fortnight 2016 we want to promote supporting Fairtrade businesses and producers across the globe securing a fair price for produce, helping families in poverty gain food security.
We’re celebrating with a Fairtrade curry lunch inspired by amazing Fairtrade ingredients and cooked by our very own chefs. The meal deal will be available in Drake’s Café and Roland Levinsky Café from 12pm.
There will be a vegetarian curry and a chicken curry option for £5.50. And Fairtrade sweet treats available in the cafés if you have room!
There will also be a Fairtrade quiz available with lunch - complete it to be in with the chance to win prizes including Plymouth Argyle and Plymouth University Raiders Basketball Team tickets and Fairtrade goodies.
We will be fundraising for the Fairtrade Foundation and Brain Tumour Research over lunch.
No booking required, pay in the cafés as usual.
Please note that this event was originally scheduled to be a Fairtrade Curry Night with speakers - however, due to demand, we have changed this to a lunch event to open it up to more people on campus.
