The Exploring Your Future in the Health Sector is a day of workshops and presentations for students who are interested in a career in the healthcare sector.
The programme will run in four streams, one for each of the schools - School of Psychology, School of Nursing and Midwifery, School of Health Professions, and School of Biomedical and Healthcare Sciences.
This will be a fantastic opportunity to meet employers from a range of backgrounds while also learning key skills to help you find a job when you graduate. Do not miss this opportunity to find out how to get into the job you really want.
The full programme of events is available on the Employability Service event calendar.
To really get the most out of the experience you can attend our networking event on the same day. This will run from 17:30-20:00 on the top floor of the Rolle Building. Employers and students will get to talk about topics such as common career routes, the best ways to find jobs, how the professionals found their own jobs and their own personal career journeys.
This will be structured around tables with employers doing most of the talking - you're welcome to take notes! A buffet dinner will be served and you can then mix and talk to the employers who interest you.
A full list of the employers attending will be available before the event so you can research who you'd like to talk to. This event is designed to be an enjoyable introduction to networking where you can learn more about your potential future industry and help inform your decisions.
Two workshops are available for you to book on to before the event to give you an idea of how to network, introduce yourself and what you can talk about. These are running on Wednesday 10 February (13:00) and Wednesday 2 March (14:00).
