Save event

Ataxia is an umbrella term for a range of progressive neurological conditions that affect 10,000 people in the UK.

Individually, each type of ataxia is a very rare condition, meaning that there is a lack of awareness across the healthcare world. To combat this, Ataxia UK is teaming up with their Exeter Branch and ataxia healthcare specialists from across the UK to deliver a local Ataxia Training Day.

This seminar is open to any interested healthcare professional working within one of a wide variety of fields.

  • 09:00 - Registration and light refreshments
  • 09:30-16:00 - Talks and Q&As

Attendees will learn valuable ways in which to care for people with ataxia; we are also applying for CPD accreditation from the Royal College of Physicians.

Speakers include Jon Marsden, Professor of Rehabilitation at Plymouth University, who will talk about 'Rehabilitation and physiotherapy approaches in ataxia'.
