From Wednesday 28 – Thursday 29 October 2015, the Devon Collaborative Outreach Network is offering an informal drop-in service in the Roland Levinsky Building.
The event is focused on support for UCAS personal statement writing; however, we will be providing general advice on topics such as routes into higher education as well as career signposting and skills mapping for those still considering their future.
The personal statement is a crucial part of the UCAS application process. It is your chance to demonstrate your interest and passion for the subject you wish to study while convincing admissions tutors that you have the ability and motivation that is conducive to success.
Free coffee and cake will be on offer so why not pop in and see us. We look forward to helping you.
No booking required - all welcome.
About the Devon Collaborative Outreach Network
The decisions we make during our formative years can impact significantly on our futures. With this in mind, it is essential that young people and those that influence them are provided with accessible information so they become empowered to make choices that can improve their life chances.
Outreach events and activities aim to provide opportunities for young people to learn of the value of higher education while at the same time exposing them to the diverse range of programmes that are offered in the their region. In addition, a range of talks are available to inform potential students of routes into higher education and provide information on how they can fund their studies. Events and talks also offer an insight into the life of a university student.
Plymouth University, in partnership with the University of St Mark & St John, Plymouth College of Art, and other partner colleges aims to raise awareness of higher education by promoting outreach events to schools and colleges in the Devon region.
