The Dartmoor Mires Citizen Science Project is part of ongoing research at Plymouth University monitoring the restoration of peat-forming vegetation on Dartmoor.

You are invited to join University environmental scientists for a day on Dartmoor to find out about the Mires Restoration Project and the ecosystem services provided by peatlands.

Investigate life in shallow pools and discover how rapidly bog vegetation returns following habit restoration work.

All are welcome to this event but participants must be capable of walking up to ten miles over uneven sloping ground.

Free transport will depart from outside the north west end of the Roland Levinsky Building at the University at 09:00 returning by 17:30. Alternatively, please meet us in the parking area at Long Plantation at 10:00.

Please book your place and confirm any travel requirements by contacting Dr Paul Lunt (paul.lunt@plymouth.ac.uk) or Bethan Harry (bethan.harry@plymouth.ac.uk).

Further information on Health and Safety and directions will be provided.
