This course is for Plymouth University staff only. 

Do you have teaching and learning documents e.g. subject guides you need to share across more than one course in Moodle? Rather than uploading a copy of a document into multiple courses, you can upload and manage a single copy in the resource store and link to it from each course.

The resource store is part of the Digital Learning Environment and allows you to upload and share teaching and learning content across multiple courses for your students. If you have attended a Quick Start to Moodle course you will have seen how to upload content quickly and easily into the resource store. This session follows on from that and demonstrates some of the tools available for managing your content in the resource store.

Who should attend this course?

This course is aimed at any members of staff who are responsible for uploading, creating and managing student content for programmes or modules in Moodle.

Pre-requisites

Prior knowledge of using a PC or Mac is essential to benefit from this course. You will have ideally attended the Quick Start to Moodle course.

What you will gain

By the end of this course, you will be able to upload and manage content in the resource store.

The course will cover:

  • introduction to the resource store and its structure
  • uploading content to the resource store
  • searching  for existing resources
  • linking resources to a course
  • editing a resource
  • deleting a resource
  • giving staff members edit access to a resource
  • changing the ownership of a resource.
