The 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26)
The UN Climate Change Convention, held in Glasgow 1–12 November, represented the largest, global coming together to address climate change. The COP26 summit brought parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on climate change.

"Blue carbon and other marine biological processes as a solution to the ecological and socio-economic impacts of climate-related changes in the ocean. Can we rely on natural ocean processes for climate mitigation?"
This event, hosted by IPCC (United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) and the Monaco Scientific Centre (CSM), and chaired by His Royal Highness, Prince Albert of Monaco, will present the key messages and policy recommendations.
Panellists, including Jason Hall-Spencer, Professor of Marine Biology at the University of Plymouth, discussed the capacity of nature to mitigate climate change, as nature-based solutions.
This event was co-organised by IPCC, Fundaciōn Meri, Centre Scientifique de Monaco, World Meteorological Organization, Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco, and the UK Met Office.
