Celebrate Chinese New Year with Plymouth University. Come and join us on campus ahead of the official Chinese year (Saturday 28 January - The Year of the Rooster).

Chinese New Year Gala Dinner

Thursday 26 January, 19:00 - 22:30

Join us for a celebratory night of entertainment including spectacular suspended ribbon dancers, hoop aerialists, pot juggling and traditional lion dances. 

The evening will include an authentic Chinese three course dinner.

The dinner is open to everyone, with tickets priced at £15 per person.

Tickets must be pre-booked via the University eStore.

This is usually a sell-out event, so tickets will be issued on a first come, first serve basis.

Chinese Activities Day 

Friday 27 January, 12:00 - 19:00

Come and visit the Rolle Marquee for our Chinese Activities Day. 

  • Experience Chinese culture through food and drink stalls and craft activities, including dumpling making, lantern painting and tea tasting.
  • Enjoy performances with traditional Chinese instruments, dancing, singing and martial arts. There will also be therapeutic and beauty treatments on offer such as massages and hair styling. 

The event is free to attend and is open to everyone. There is no need to pre-book.
