Mary Robinson came to understand the importance of climate change through talking to women, mostly farmers, from around the world.
She heard how their lives were being changed and livelihoods threatened by a change in climate that they had no part in causing. In this book she tells their stories, and shows how hope lies in working together for local, community change. The key to a sustainable future is in justice for the poorest.
