Compered by Judi Spiers, one of the best known and loved faces, and voices of the Westcountry, Celebration! is a 110th Anniversary Concert for local Charity Improving Lives Plymouth.
An international star, with local acts, mean it will be a night to remember with acts including: Plymouth Symphony Orchestra, Tenor David Webb with Paul Foster on pianoforte, Ocean City Sound Barbershop Choir with over 40 singers and Improving Lives own Caring for Carers, Ukulele Band.
Headliner, British tenor David Webb is from St Budeaux in Plymouth and was a choral scholar at Truro Cathedral and then studied at the Royal College of Music International Opera School. As a 'Classical Crossover' singer, he signed to Warner Bros, where he sang at the Royal Albert Hall, Buckingham Palace, Wembley Stadium and on the Royal Flotilla for the Queen's Jubilee. David has sung at opera houses around the world including the Teatro Real Madrid, Opera Comique Paris, Glyndebourne Festival Opera and the Mariinsky Theatre Russia. He recently made his debut for English National Opera as Frederic in The Pirates of Penzance as a Harewood Artist. He returns to the company this season as Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Messenger in a new production of Aida.
