With over 300,000 graduates entering the job market each year a good degree is no longer enough to get your career started.

This interactive employability day for Faculty of Business students will help you stand out from the crowd to get the job you want. This course includes:

Career tune-up: Through interactive activities you will fully explore how your interests, values and motivations can identity the right career direction for you.

Career opportunities: Learn where to locate the right opportunities and access the hidden job market.

Using LinkedIn: Develop career research methods to build your network and learn how to make a professional impression with potential employers.

Tactics in applying for jobs: Gain an understanding of how to tailor and target you CV and application to progress to the next stage in securing employment. For part-time work to graduate-level employment, don’t make the common mistakes!

Graduate recruitment methods: Demystifying graduate recruiter assessment methods. Learn how to maximise your performance and boost your confidence by learning how to handle tricky questions, group interview situations and still make a good impression!

Making your move and getting ahead: Identify the practical next steps needed to enhance employability success during your time with the Faculty of Business.

The event will be led by a range of careers professionals and members of the Association of Graduate Recruiters. Local employers will also input to the day.
