Peninsula Arts Contemporary Music Festival 2015.

Festival directors Simon Ible and Eduardo Reck Miranda introduce this year's festival from the Foyer of the new performing arts centre, The House, located behind the Roland Levinsky Building off North Hill.

Biomusic: Music at the Leading Edge of Science and Creativity

A musical ecosystem based on data from the UK’s forested landscapes, a biocomputer that can play the piano, an audio-visual representation of Motor Neurone Disease and a composition for saxophone and electronics charting the evolution of humpback whale song! Composers and artists will explore new sounds, ideas, instruments and musical structures inspired, and even created, by biological processes at this year's Contemporary Music Festival.

As the musicians venture into the unknown, audiences are encouraged to actively listen and engage in debate about what they hear, see and feel.
