Save event

This open day is aimed at staff and research students from within Plymouth University and our partner organisations in order to explore the state-of-the-art facilities that Plymouth Electron Microscopy Centre (PEMC) has to offer.

We are now one of the best equipped units in the country to deal with field-emission, low vacuum and cryo-SEMs, high-resolution TEM and a large range of analytical equipment (WDS, EDS, EBSD).

Come over for tea, coffee and biscuits from 10am to meet staff and talk to us about how PEMC can support your present research and how we can not only help plan future research opportunities but also develop collaborations including KTPs and other commercial opportunities.

The lab, along with our staff, will be available all day to answer specific questions regarding electron microscopy and how it can enhance your work. Examples will be available showcasing the range of work completed to date, from simple imaging to more complex, quantitative analytical studies.
