Hebrew is one of the world's oldest languages with the earliest Hebrew texts dating back to the second millennium B.C.E.. Whilst Hebrew ceased being commonly spoken in 587 B.C.E. it lived on as a written language for Jewish prayers and holy texts before being re-born as Modern Hebrew at the birth of the modern state of Israel in 1948.

These lessons are free and open to all who are interested in learning Biblical Hebrew to read religious texts, if want to understand what happens in a synagogue or if you just want to learn a new skill. You do not need to have any prior understanding of Biblical Hebrew.
