Plymouth University was the first university in the world to be awarded the Social Enterprise Mark.

Social Entrepreneurs Michelle Virgo and Gareth Hart will deliver a workshop intended to introduce students to social enterprise in an accessible manner.

Within the two-part workshop the differences between social enterprises and mainstream businesses and charities will be highlighted, and you will be able to discuss the challenges that people have faced with social enterprises.

Plymouth’s links to social enterprise reach beyond the University: to give attendees an idea of social enterprise in the city there will be light refreshments in a Social Enterprise Pub where you will be given an idea of the business model first hand, and be able to ask questions of another practising social entrepreneur.

This free workshop is primarily for students of Plymouth Business School and the Graduate School of Management.

We do however operate a waiting list for students outside these schools. If you would like to register your interest, please contact us at
