Save event

As part of ‘This Girl Can’ day we will be joined by Olympic diver Sarah Barrow.

As she prepares for the Rio Olympics Sarah will be presenting ‘Be Inspired’ a talk and Q&A session about her experiences, how sport has inspired her and how she has overcome barriers to reach the top of her sport.

About Sarah Barrow

A friend encouraged Sarah to try diving at the age of 12 and she has been competing ever since. Sarah has had her setbacks such as narrowly missing out on Olympic qualification early in her career and two serious back injuries but has fought back as has achieved an array of international accolades including 5th place at the London 2012 Olympics and Silver at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Sarah is currently training for the 2016 Olympic games in Rio, recently finishing third at the Rio World Cup behind China and Malaysia.

The event is FREE and open to all though booking is required. Email sarah.winn@su.plymouth.ac.uk to book your place.

All attendees will be entered into a draw for a goody bag with M&S This Girl Can kit!
