We are thrilled to feature baritone Dominic Sedgwick and pianist Ceri Owen in this exciting Music Forum. A frequent performer at The Royal Opera House, Dominic will sing works by Vaughan Williams, Schubert, Brahms, and Beethoven’s An die ferne Geliebte (To the distant beloved) - the first song cycle by a major composer. Collaborating with Dominic will be pianist Ceri Owen, who performs frequently in London and is currently Director of Performance at the University of Birmingham.
In discussion with The Arts Institute’s Music Director Dr Robert Taub, Dominic and Ceri will also share their insights on different musical styles, singing and rehearsing in different languages, and challenges of diction, balance, and acoustics.
You are also invited to participate in a live Q and A with the performers.
Join us for this joyous musical evening!
