You've been made a personal tutor but what does it actually mean?

This workshop provides an introduction to the role and how it can work in practice.

The session begins by examining the University‚Äôs policy and guidance for personal tutors. We will then explore different models of personal tutoring and discuss how this fits your context, with a particular focus on the value of 'signposting' to wider University services. We hope that by the end of this workshop you will have identified some qualities and skills associated with effective personal tutoring and feel more knowledgeable in delivering this aspect of your role.

Please note that PGCAP participants will have the opportunity to cover this material on their programme so do not need to attend this workshop.
