An Introduction to Applying for Research Funding

This session is designed for new lecturers (and those new to the UK) but will be useful to anyone new to applying for research grants including research fellows, research assistants and research students. 

Facilitator: Dr John Martin.

The session covers:

  • an explanation of where research funding comes from 
  • advice on how to find appropriate funding sources 
  • a description and advice on the process of applying for a research grant - from idea to reward 
  • an explanation of the University's procedures

The venues will be confirmed on booking. NB: a session may change nearer the time but attendees will be notified.

About the Research Support Programme

The Research Support Programme is facilitated by the Research Support and Development team and is specifically designed to support research staff at varying stages of their career and projects. All sessions are available free of charge for research staff, early career academics and staff supporting researchers.
